I can confirm that the game runs perfectly on my ipod touch 4g. I just had to install the ipa on my ipod.

Yeah I did purchased it on my iphone 4s but I just wanted to confirm that it does indeed also work on my ipod. Sorry if it was already confirmed working on ipods...

It's always reassuring when a thief shows concern enough to let us Ram deficient iTouch 4th geners know that alls well that ends well

  9. Played some more and got to the boss battle at the end of day 3. I really like how SE handled the partner system by giving Shiki her own mini-combat sequence. I have no problem with the lack of a second screen at all.

I'd better not show you that huge directory full of shady-looking .ipa files iTunes left behind on my computer, or you'll have the SIIA busting down my door!

Not sure if trolling or stupid... You guys know what .IPA files (or iPhone/iPod/iPad Applications) are right? You download them from iTunes and the App Store.

    What's the problem?

Yes, as far as I am aware from my reading of the Apple Developers' agreement, Square Enix's arbitrary (greedy) circumvention of iPad compatability mode is specifically prohibited.

Apple will likely give a refund if you ask. Just saying...FREE TWEWY! No pirate! Woot!

SE might have a small problem here.

More reassuring than when an established company screws iDevice users by releasing an iPhone app that falsely claims to require a camera flash in an attempt to squeeze an extra purchase out of iPad owners.

I may buy this game for my iPad, but this iPhone version block thing is making me think twice. It doesn't affect me personally because I never play 2x iPhone games but it's disgusting nonetheless. Doing that with a non-universal $18 game is greedy beyond belief.

I think so too, Square Enix is a huge company after all.

What makes things worse is that the two versions are identical there isn't any difference between the iPhone and iPad version

I bought it for iPad about five minutes after it came out because I didn't want to play in 2x. I was shocked to find out they hard-blocked compatibility mode.

I'd be interested to find out if, upscaled, the UI is the same size and assets are the same resolution, or whether they actually tweaked anything between the two.

I know that rounded up and compressed, the files are both 589MB. Looks like iPad .ipa, decompressed, is 2,479,696,968 bytes per Finder. Anyone want to check the iPhone version?
