Well I can one up you there - I have the NZ app store! First access, baby! Not that I'll be rushing to spend spend spend, but you know, it's the principle of the thing! Anyways, more on topic - how do people find less popular games? Something suitable for this thread, that kind of thing. Off the top of my head there's AppShopper, but is that it? The most popular lists are top 200-ish, what about the others? How would you find a hidden gem?
Actually have one for the thread - Emberwind! Looks nice, quite new and I managed to find nothing relating to the iOS version, not even videos. If you got it, please explain to someone who never played the PC version, specifically the controls. :O Emberwind - $.99 2D rpg, I guess? http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=102672
I was gonna ask for Emberwind too. I'd TOFTA it, but I'ma gonna be busy with FFT 'til September some time. EDIT: TOFTAing will occur. BOOM!
haha. LOL. It'll be more like 50 words. I don't even recall the last time I made a long post here on TA.
Ok im TOFTA'ing Cut The Rope (Zeptolab) The game is defiantly worth buying if you were a fan of the original. The new gadgets are pretty awesome, One that allows you to send string to the candy the other is a sucker which is pretty awesome but tricky to use. My one complaint is that it didn't last me very long, I finished the game in 40mins and i feel like compared to other games there is not enough levels. They also claim that this on tells you more about Om Nom but i have not seen anything that i hadn't in the other version. Its worth getting but not as good as i though it would be, Hopefully some updates will change my opinion....
The thing I thought was funny about Cut the Rope Experiments was all the experiments the scientist was performing on OmNom involved feeding him candy. What was he trying to do increase the poor guys cholestrol levels! I vote for a real experiments app, this time you have to do what every scientist does to animals, disect them. It would be like operation except it would mentally scar every child that mistakenly bought it. Sounds like fun right!
Syntheticvoid has posted his impressions for Emberwind in the Emberwind thread. Can't link to it now, posting from my phone, sorry.
hah gotta disagree on that a lot. The game is great from graphics to levels, but it's almost impossible to enjoy them with one of the worst controls on iOS game ever!
