Star Horizon had some pretty split views in its thread and it is a bit short but it's still taken a place on my list of the best space shooters on iOS. So it gets my vote. Adventure Beaks and TriBlaster were also great games.
Adventure Beaks all the way... Roll Back Home and TriBlaster are good games, but AB its amazing and a GOTY candidate. The level designs keep me coming back again and again (second time Im going to finish the game) and dressing penguins just puts the cherry on top of it, its plain fun, and its a free game. TRY IT!!
Really enjoyed Star Horizon til the end albeit a little short, but i will have to give my GotW to the penguin horde. Adventure Beaks is my definition of a fantastic iOS game because of: one, how the control options were both optimized due to the nature of the touchscreen; two, the visuals are fantastic in terms of backgrounds and the looks of each of the equips; three, the addictive nature of item collection; four, the ingeniuos level designs that encourage replayability and exploration without making the game feel even just a little bit repetitive; five, the slide animation is still the cutest slide animation in gaming history; and six, the IAP model is just plain ungreedy yet inviting enough for me to put in $5 easily without second thoughts. Adventure Beaks definitely belongs to my 2014 GotY list too.
