The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are... pending Last week's GOTW thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=275084 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible (even if they aren't listed in this original post), weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote for it. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members with some activity. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. 4) Game updates, no matter how significant are not eligible for GOTW. There are enough new games to nominate that haven't been considered before. Notice of this poll may be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New"tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ [Busy with work so original posts may not be as detailed] 7 Blocks Amazing Loot Grind Artifical Defense Asgard Run Blade Waltz Booger Boring Color Jump! In no particular order... 1. Lost Horizon 2. Dark Fear 3. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee 4. Thirty Days and Seven Seas 5. Wizards and Wagons Edit: I watched some footage of Dark Fear, pooped myself then promptly downloaded it. I left out Zodiac Orcanon Odyssey because their after-purchase support and customer care is the worst I've ever experienced.
Well it has it's flaws but it's got a ripper soundtrack, gorgeous art, nice and well written story and dialogue, satisfactory battle system, great length for this type of game, and intuitive puzzles. And plus, being "# scary" is an achievement in itself these days! But truth be told, I think the main appeal of the game really is the atmosphere, which is down to the stunning art + music + writing. The game has spooked me more than any other in memory, and there are some really great moments.
Adding Super Hyper Pinball, though I always forget when the time bracket for these is. EDIT: Apparently this has been outf or awhile ,I just never noticed.
Sorry for the GOTW delays. I've been moving to a new house so afterwards things should go more smoothly. Will get this poll up later today.
Not an easy week to pick just one... it's times like these I wish you could vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Decided to go for Lost Horizon because it's a great adventure title and it could use the extra exposure. I could have easily voted for Dark Fear or Wizards & Wagons but I think they'll clean up this weeks poll without my help.
