Not trying to flame the fire, but the dev of Redline Rush even admits he's a Burnout fan. And there are "takedowns" but clearly this is more of an runner with a car-based theme than a racing game. Anyway, for what it's worth, I wouldn't compare a $.99 racing based runner to a console racing game. There's no opponents. No racing really involved. You're just trying to get as far as you can. Believe me, I LOVE the Burnout games. And I like runners so what's not to like? Just IMO.
Yeah redline is pretty good. Definitely mix of driving and an endless runner. I would highly recommend it.
I'm surprised you haven't picked this up already. I'm not into car games aswell but this one is fantastic. And it's perfectly balanced. If you have a buck left then you should definitely spent it on Redline Rush.

I've been thinking about this... As far as I can remember the cutoff is Saturday, with Sunday counting towards the next week as the poll (is meant to) go up on Sunday evening. Am I remembering wrong? Since the game was released on the 11th, that's Saturday, which would mean it's eligible for the previous week.

Frozen Synapse (pretty kool) Manuganu (very polish level based runner) Karateka Classic (karateka masala) Can Knockdown 3 (would never have picked this up if it wasn't mentioned in this thread - very enjoyable) Redline Rush (Jetcar joyride) Also enjoying Crazy Cat Lady. And I wasn't going to buy anything this week.
Kinda sad that Redline Rush isnt getting much attention. It's a buck, and one of the most fun runners/arcade racers on the appstore. Give it a chance guys... The game also is one of the most generous coinage-wise, it's ridiculously easy to max out everything. Took me a little over 2 hours to max all upgrades with the coin doubler on. That never happens in a coin-based upgrade type of game in the appstore, but it's true. I've bought almost everything released this week, and this, by far, surpasses the lot in terms of fun factor. To top it off, good visuals, and nice sound effects complement it well. Cheers!
