Well, I found that placing a tower right above the exits before the bases on both sides, as well as one diagonal down from it (so as to force the monsters to go around) works pretty good. At first I used regular cannons, but then switched to scouts. So, 4 scout towers down there. When I could I built another scout tower on top to start taking out the "thingie" causing the "stuff" on the ground so you can't build towers. Using scouts instead of cannons caused my other towers to be within range of shooting it, which is either bad or good. It took less time to take it out (and was actually the first time I was able to) but you have to manage targets more because they will all want to shoot at it. I did put a couple flame towers at the top entrances next to the resources, which seemed to help take out some of the squid guys.

That strategy has helped me last the longest, by far, but I still ended up getting obliterated. I'm thinking maybe a couple extra scout towers on the outsides? Still, that would mean they would have to take out the squids before they make it down below. Still, it's the farthest I've gotten, so I think if I can figure out the second half strategy for the level, I'll be good.

Can someone give me some tips on E5 ?
The squids are soooo annoying. I tried putting lots of scout towers on places far enough so it wont get disabled, and pause/start it while targetting only the squids. Still not working well...

There was an update for this today, and included was "slight adjustment to difficulty". Well, it must be "slight" because I'm still stuck on D1 Apollo. This is beginning to frustrate me, which doesn't often to me because if a game is giving me problems, I generally just shelf if. But in this case I keep coming back because I do like it, and I want to open up the remainder of the maps. I mean "easy" difficulty should be EASY!!!

My problem with D1 Apollo (a survive map) is that I read somewhere online that the key to this map is pausing, manually targeting the "healer" units, and take them out asap so they can't trek around the map healing others. The big problem I have with this is identifying which units are healers, in a big ole jumbled mess of enemies. I do know that the healers have a blue aura. But slowing towers puts a very similar blue aura onto an enemy when they slow them, so I'm having a very hard time telling which enemy is the blue healer, apart from the normal enemies that have been slowed.

Sorry not able to give very good specifics on C6 as I haven't played that one in a while, and I beat it on my first try. I am pretty sure I used a lot of slow towers and also you definitely want to make sure you have a fully upgraded laser on the left hand side that shoots a straight line toward the base. You might also throw a second one right behind it as well, so you have two shooting toward the base. This should help a lot.

E5 Nailed... I should have posted my strategy I initially used to beat it as I don't remember as clearly now. However, I do know that trying to get lasers on every corner worked well. Also putting a couple flame towers up near the entrance, with one in range to hit the monsters going past the corner below and to the right.

On D1, I did post the strategy that worked for me for this level on the first page. That should work... I had no problems using that strategy. I also didn't bother with targeting the healers, as that strategy really didn't seem to work too well for me. Maybe I just wasn't patient enough.

  6. Wasn't interested in the game at first but after seeing zatos' posts , I just had to get it .

Thanks Zatos, I'll try your D1 strategy/tips from page 1. I must have overlooked it and didn't realize a strategy was already posted for that level.

Okay....a sigh of relief. Finally passed D1 Apollo after more attempts than I care to recount. Used part of your strategy Zatos, specifically use of splash towers and upgrading towers before building new ones.

    Thanks!

I'm going to answer my own post since I managed to finish the game after trying several combinations.

So the key is to use focus towers to zap the first two purple obstacles that are closest to the bottom platform just in front of your bases. I started with the one on the right, but since the level is pretty symmetrical you could also very well start with the left one.

You need to destroy that obstacle as soon as possible so as soon as there are no enemies or only weak enemies that you can kill at the latest moment, direct the focus tower to attack the obstacle it is facing. As you gain more money, start placing regular cannon and splash towers on and at the side of the platform so as to create a maze that the enemies have to go through in order to reach your bases (unfortunately, I didn't make a screenshot of my game at the end so it's difficult to describe precisely how I constructed my maze).

When the squids start coming, make sure you target them immediately so that they don't get too close to your tower pack in the middle thereby disabling them when they explode. I would often pause the game to precisely target them so that I wouldn't miss them. That trick incidentally is also great for the enemies that can only be killed when you specifically target them.

When the first row of purple obstacles is down thanks to your focus towers place scout towers in the recess to deal with the next row. You don't need to wipe out the obstacles on each side at this point. I personally opted to destroy the obstacles on the right-hand side until I was within range to attack the boss. It takes a while to get there with scout towers so your defense has to be pretty robust at the bottom in order to withstand the repeated onslaughts of enemies.

    HTH and good luck!

I found a different method for beating it, mostly using scout towers (for E8 Raven). Assemble scout towers in a pattern in the raised area so as to force monsters to follow this route pattern: |_|-|_| - what looks like a 'W' - sort of. So basically in the 2nd column, three towers from the top - 4th column, three towers from the bottom - 6th column, three towers on the top. This should cause the monsters to have the longest possible route. I tried to build the towers first before upgrading so that I could get the monsters in to the long route first.

I built a couple flame towers at the screen entrances where the monsters come from. A couple splash towers on the sides. I don't know if these particular towers are necessary to beat it this way. I noticed with the difficulty update, you start with a bit more resources, so I was able to build 4 scouts instead of 3 to start with. Anyway, after you upgrade the top scout towers, you should be able to take out the "thing" fairly easy inbetween waves because you will have 3 towers or so shooting at it.

I'm wondering how well this strategy would have worked before the update. Shame that I didn't try it before I updated.

Me too. Putting lasers at all the corners works, until the last round. Then I sold all the lasers and built missiles. Did manage to kill a few before dying.

    Some help will be appreciated!

    Defeat The Last Level

    **************************************RAVEN*************************************

I saw some plp needed help with the Last Level which is the easiest one in the game. After this you will shake your head how easy it is.

Copy and paste the url into your browser tab to see a Full screen shots
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1) http://oi56.tinypic.com/oarq89.jpg
set and leave your Focus here until you get 360 gems. The game will do the work by it's self.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2) http://oi53.tinypic.com/6xvlvc.jpg
    you see, all left alone.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3) http://oi55.tinypic.com/4iett0.jpg
start working on the top 2 skulls (all money from this point on needs to go to setting up the maze) keep an eye on the money and every 120 make a tower
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    4) http://oi54.tinypic.com/16iwjmr.jpg
start working the towers in this pattern
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    5) http://oi51.tinypic.com/2djzz2s.jpg
you see the pattern coming together, dont upgrade the towers yet. wait until you have them all set.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    6) http://oi56.tinypic.com/24vnxmo.jpg
after the pattern is set, start upgrading from top to bottom, starting with the outside ones. and keep working on that last front row skull, it will pay for the full upgrade of all the towers.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    7) http://oi53.tinypic.com/5oxvg0.jpg
You dont know it but 99% of the game is done at this point as this setup is invincible, I dont even upgrade the focus tower until i hit 3000 gems, which is soon. Now start working on the far right or left skull, choose 1 and stick with it.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    8) http://oi51.tinypic.com/v7umf9.jpg
I start with the right, now point it to the skull directly in front and upgrade it as fast as you can, which is fast from here and go to work.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    9) http://oi56.tinypic.com/1jrh48.jpg
now as the Gems start flowing in, upgrade your focus towers
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    10) http://oi55.tinypic.com/ibxp1l.jpg
the end is near as the last skull is down. Look at the gems, you dont even need to add anything else. now comes the final focus tower
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    11) http://oi52.tinypic.com/2wnxpc5.jpg
place last focus tower and upgrade, within a few min the Game is over.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    D8 BoneDry on Normal

I am going to assume you already beat the game on easy first, otherwise this wont work, as you need the focus beam from it to successfully conquer the level. (side note** normal and hard were meant to be played starting with all the available towers, otherwise its close to impossible)

Copy and paste the url into your browser tab to see a Full screen shots
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1) http://oi56.tinypic.com/2liv2ti.jpg
as soon as the game starts start hitting the tree directly across from the tower shown here, and pause the game when its done to add a focus tower.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2) http://oi56.tinypic.com/2r6d6wz.jpg
    just like this.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3) http://oi54.tinypic.com/12660l0.jpg
as soon as you get 360 gems, add a second focus tower while pausing the game. with those two focus towers and your gun tower start removing the surrounding trees to gain gems. do this quickly.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    4) http://oi54.tinypic.com/2jupvc.jpg
with the money from clearing the surrounding trees and a few rounds of battle, start upgrading your gun tower to the max.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    5) http://oi54.tinypic.com/2wn1xxz.jpg
with your new round of gems, set your laser beam as the end of the road.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    6) http://oi53.tinypic.com/11lsiug.jpg
set your next focus tower with your next round of gems
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    7) http://oi56.tinypic.com/2nmuew.jpg
again also here with your next set, you will notice the gems will start piling up make sure you pause the game as to not lose any lives.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    8) http://oi55.tinypic.com/2pp0f37.jpg
set your fifth focus tower at the corner of the road. at this point i am pausing the game and setting my tower then continuing. This is crucial.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    9) http://oi56.tinypic.com/sgobv8.jpg
next set of gems upgrade the laser tower once
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    10) http://oi55.tinypic.com/2emd85w.jpg
clearing the trees above the road to the top insert your 6th focus tower.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    11) http://oi54.tinypic.com/30rtnxu.jpg
this setup of towers is all but invincible, start working on the first tree, do this in between rounds.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    12) http://oi55.tinypic.com/2ln7i1c.jpg
with the first Huge tree down, make a focus tower to help speed up the process.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    13) http://oi52.tinypic.com/sde2ig.jpg
with two huge trees down, upgrade your laser to the max.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    14) http://oi55.tinypic.com/c10yb.jpg
remove the last tree in the first row, this should be enough to add two more focus towers, one at the corner and one up top.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    15) http://oi54.tinypic.com/2cxw8yb.jpg
destroy the middle tree and set your last focus tower.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    16) http://oi52.tinypic.com/vxoyuu.jpg
upgrade that focus tower and destroy the boss!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    17) http://oi54.tinypic.com/s5ckls.jpg
Done, and no loss of life, you can also earn all the achievements by destroying all the trees and using the bomb. but i wanted to show you the end first.
