I've got the middle one on a phone now, and it does look pretty cool on device. I might still think about trying some variations like different backgrounds though.
On my ipad i just get a page saying an update of flash is required to view the video. Is it a YouTube video?
I was able to view it using the official Facebook app. The camera movement, fluid motion, and art style is just amazing to me. Love it. I really think this will make people like skateboards if they didn't before like myself.
The plan is to try to keep it reasonably simple to get out out sooner rather then later, while making sure the basics are really solid.
Sounds good to me. The core of the game is much more important to me then the "flash" of it, although the game does look pretty flashy already haha. Any idea on a time frame for release?
Some time in summer (or winter where I am), hopefully earlier rather then later, but things always tend to drag on when getting a game ready to release.
Great graphics but more important for me from that brief video I see very good controls in my opinion.
I hope so, my main motivation for making this game was that I really didn't like the way the controls worked on the other iPhone skateboarding games I had tried, and wanted the skateboarding game that I wanted to play, so I decided I would just have to make it my self.
I hope you don't mind me coming in here Luke I was around True Axis place the other day and I got to play this on the iPhone 4s. The graphics and controls look and work fantastically. I've actually been playing it on my iPad3 as well and it looks miles better than a lot of high end games that people seem to tout for the best iOS graphics, and this is at Retina at 60fps. I would say True Skate is a 1000 times better than Touchgrind. Ok, you can pay me the $10 for that high sell, now
You really should put that in game description once it's out - i'm sold. Personally honesty is far better advertise than devs usually tend to do those days
I want to try and do a first release during summer (or winter for us Aussies) I will give more details when a date is more certain.
Just curious, do you plan on adding additional skateparks (possibly as IAP's) after the initial release?
take your time, seriously, make sure your tricks and the way they are done are accurate i hate games that dont get the tricks right when the devs could have asked some real skaters / oh and i just had an idea also when you start out skating give the player a low center of gravity and increase over time with repetition of tricks like in real life message me i have a ton of ideas for a game like this
