Hoping for the rest of the games too, especially polar rescue. Been playing armor attack and been loving it. Brings back so many memories. The Devs did a great job. Once you get used to the joystick control the games play like they did on original!
Same here - I tried removing applications from my iPad3, rebooting, etc and all I ever see is a flash of the Rantmedia logo then black screen.
I hope the developers are paying attention here. I just downloaded this and bought the mega cart pack but particulary when playing Minestorm there's this crazy glitch where the screen goes into this crazy 'broken' mode then goes back to normal. It happened like 3-4 times. Funny that it hasn't happened in any of the other games... Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update. I'm playing this on an iPad 3. No iCade here but the controls are about as good as they can be on a touch screen I guess. Were the controls for Hyperchase always so sensitive seeing as I never played it before?
I got that once while playing Star Trek... It only happened when another app sent me a notification! I'm using a third gen ipad.

Wow, just spent a few hours with this. The iCade works perfectly. The wireless controller is an awesome extra for two-player. The games all play and look excellent. Tons of extras. Game Center support. iCloud. This has got to be a candidate for coolest app of the year! I cant wait to see what lies ahead. Great job everyone!
I had this the first time I loaded it on my iPad 2. On my new iPod touch 5th gen it kept crashing but one 'reboot' fixed that. Surprised me though, must be some hungry application
Wow ! I read the review on the main page of TA and saw the picture of the ipod with the vectrex controls Didnt realise you could do that ! So (if you have two devices), start your ipad, get to a game and do the same on your ipod/iphone so both screens are at the menu of a game with sound/overlay/controls etc showing on the top. Then on your ipad press controls/connect and then select your device on the player 1 bit (eg ipod or iphone). Then your ipod/iphone turns into a remote vectrex controller ! Very very cool
Tutorial If you go into your Settings app, under the Vectrex pane, there is a option to reset the tutorial and also turn the boot noise off or on for the splash.
Be cool if this app did anything other than give me a blank black screen on my iPhone 4S, or if it worked on my iPad 1. I'd be happy to pay for all the games if it did.
Sorry if its obvious but have you tried resetting as i had a black screen the first time on my new ipod 5th gen. I'm currently playing it on my iphone 4 without any issues. Shame about ipad 1 but i dont think that was mentioned as being compatible previously
Hey guys, Thanks for all the comments - keep them coming in - we are going to be putting lots more into the app in the coming months & it's great to get the feedback. Wanted to go through some answers to questions raised: iPad 1 Support Ahh. The biggie. Guys, we have tried really hard to get it on iPad 1... we definitely haven't given up, and are still working on it! We want as many people running the app as possible. There are loads of reasons why iPad 1 is a challenge - we're honestly not bad at optimisation! BTW it's nothing to do with the 3D room (that's pretty 'light') it's the actual Vectrex that's the difficult bit! Minestorm Weird flashing under cirtain circumstances. We're aware of this - it's fixed. Will be in first update coming soon. Fixed joystick pad The current joystick 'follows' your thumb around the screen - some people have requested an option to fix it in place. We'll see if we can find a good way to fit that into the user interface. Black screen This may happen if the device is jailbroken. Crashing on launch The usual recommendation of closing some apps and doing a reboot should solve all these kinds of problems. Controls sensitivity For some games (like Hyperchase) you will need to dial down the sensitivity in the Control settings (when you're on the 'Vectrex' view). We'll be making this a 'save state' in a future update (as suggested by the TA review!) so we will remember your settings on a per-game basis in future. 8-bitty The button mapping is not what we expected for the 8-bitty. It'll be fixed. Replay tutorial Just go into the main device 'settings' app. Go to the 'Vectrex' app (will be towards the bottom on the left) and switch the tutorial back on. Close & re-open app and you will be able to do tutorial again. Keep the feedback coming - thanks - we are listening and we're here for the long haul. Appreciate ratings & reviews of the app.
This app is unbelievably good with iCade! If you love Vectrex games and don't have a Vectrex or iCade, get the iCade pronto!!! I noticed the Minestorm glitch and let the developers know so hopefully that will get fixed soon. Overall I'm amazed at the quality of this release and you can tell a lot of heart, soul and button bashing went into it.

Guess I will have to pass on this for now - it's the first app I've had that didn't work due to jailbreaking. Any chance that this will be fixed? I kind of like Firewall IP saving my 3G connection from getting hammered all the time by adservers in other applications.
