According to the website, the PC version is coming Q2 of 2011... Probably going to be an even longer wait for the iOS version. Looks great though.
Great game, great graphics. Awesome You guys are awesome. It must have taken u a long time though, finally a great good looking game on the iPhone. One more question is how many players online & how big because if it is like a gig I'll still buy it.
This game is obviously an exception. The devs have been using the Unreal Engine since 2007. They already had the license to use Unreal before Epic even made the iOS kit available. It's certainly no indication that indie devs are going utilize the Unreal Engine 3 on exclusive iDevice projects. Both third-party UE3 games thusfar are cross-platform games. The majority of iOS games, at least the indie ones, are not cross platform. I hope this does well. I want to see advancement, so that the iDevice can compete with the 3DS and PSP2 as a dedicated gaming machine. It's going to have to take more efforts like this one, and games of this caliber being successful on the AppStore, in order for that to happen. A small step at a time is better then never taking any steps at all.
Looks promising! Thanks to UE3 there is a future for HD games on iDevices. Now we just need Gameloft, Firemint, and Nintendo to start using this engine...
I doubt Nintendo would use it because of the costs. Plus the Wii probably couldn't handle it, and the 3DS has it's own engines.
Eliminate was terrible. It got boring rather quickly. Archetype was just weird. It took forever to kill someone and the graphics sucked.
We are using the Unreal Development Kit, free for ANYONE to pick up and start making games for PC and iOS with the Unreal Engine right now! http://www.udk.com Cheers.
