Thanks very much for the code. I checked the game out and have some very early feedback. The graphics, animations, music and atmospheric sounds are all great. These things all contribute to an emersing sort of game that I haven't really experienced with some of the other chess apps that I've tried. I'm currently playing a game with the AI on the easiest difficulty level and it's going as expected. The AI made it past my silly little insta-checkmate opening sequence and we're now battling for the center. So far, so good. As far a critiques, I have a couple initial thoughts. First, and definitely foremost for me, we'll need screen rotation. As it stands, I cannot play with the Smart Cover on, and that is a problem. Even a gesture to rotate the board would be cool, but something should be considered. Secondly, having some customization options would be welcome. Different boards, sets and locations would go a long way in terms of diversity. And finally, GameCenter with asynchronous multiplayer should be implemented. That's all I've got so far, after about 10 minutes of gameplay. I'll dig in some more later, finish the game against the AI and probably challenge my brother to a game for the first time in a long while. I'll drop by and leave some more impressions when the time is right. You're off to a good start, but Warrior Chess will need more to keep its audience captivated for the long haul. Thanks again for the opportunity.
Hi McCREE, Thanks for the feedback and taking time to look at the game, very useful. Networked games & Game Center was next on the list to be added, but we are looking at something that can work across Mac/Android/Windows & iOS rather than just adding Game Center. We'll look at the Smart Cover issue for the next update. Cheers, John.
Wow, this looks wonderful; really impressive, and I hadn't heard about it at all. Wish I'd gotten here much earlier.
