So I thought I share something relevant as a developer on this game for 2 years. Since we may be sharing some of our personal thoughts now about the development of the game, we will be putting our personal signature at the end of the article. I will be signing off as student8080 while my buddy and lead artist will be Smallguy. We overshot our development time from 1 year to 2 years. I always thought I will be very happy when the game is finally done. To my surprise, I actually feel kind of empty and a little lost when the game is completed. It almost felt like a friend has left me. In these 2 years, I spent almost all my time doing the design and programming for West Legends. It can be in the office till 11pm or at cafes in weekends. The game has been with me through some of the toughest rides in my life: career, friends and love. In a twisted nerdy way, it has become my comfort zone, my faithful companion through the ups and downs. It has been a good ride, my friend. ~student8080
@chaos_envoys, I can't believe anyone still remember chronosgear !!! I am really grateful. But to be truthful, chronosgear was my first game way back in 2009. I put in my own savings to develop the game but I made too much mistakes, both technical and marketing... and did not even recover the development cost ... For the last 2 years, my artist friend and I have to take on other contract jobs while developing West Legends. We just hope to just breakeven at our cost and time . Keep out fingers crossed for this thursday launch !
Oh ish chrono also wow I bought that the day might and magic was hitting stores. How about a new update on it really fun game now ill truly know this I will enjoy (knew it anyway but that news is topping on the cake)
Thanks guys ! Actually chronosgear was always meant to be the prequel. We actually have plans to make the subsequent expansion. We thought to get a proper writer to expand the storyline and add online multiplayer. Pretty much like what might and magic did now but we had the idea back in 2009... And ya, things happen and we shelved the idea. The game is actually pretty close to our heart. We still think of it fondly even with its shortcomings. And yes, the idea of re-visiting it does come across during our meal times now and then
This is gonna be a real good game. Yes it takes the battleheart formula but this actually has a story in manga form. This and year walk are gonna be AMAZING titles this week to get.
