Yes, with sniper it makes the body semi transparent (you can see through) but it doesn't help with the yellow armor...
I use the standard armor with upgrades in shielding, targeting, speed, and power-ups up to level 4 with the rest at level 2. It really works well against everyone. I also have not gone past the Auto rifle and plasma rifles as guns. (Upgraded to 4th levels in everything except zoom and reload) You really can't go wrong with this.
I actually like going for better speed because it makes easy work of the guys using plasma cannons. Oh the irony is delicious.
You should increase the reload time. I have and I notice a huge difference. I can pretty much just keep firing Also, how're people feeling about upgrading speed on their armour? I'm still undecided whether to get it or not, mostly because at level 12 (9 atm) i'll be upgrading my weapon and I need credits for that. Ps. I can pretty much just keep firing with the Auto Rifle.
If i was you, I'd stick with standard. With upgrades you'll have higher stats than some people in some areas, and lower in others. Plus, standard is more fun! Don't forget, by upgrading instead of buying+ upgrading you're saving credits which can be spent on futher/ other upgrades. I know how you feel though, you want to get it just right, right?!
It`s just that credits are so hard to earn here, I just dont want to waste them on something and regret later.
Wait... What? You get speed upgrades so you can shoot people (who have close range weapons) with your long range weapon? Hmm....
Not exactly. It's tough for the guys using plasma cannons to hit people who are jumping around and moving fast. It makes it easy win duels with them when they can't get a good fix on you. I'm using the airborne armor BTW.
Not sure. I'm doing great with my standard armour. Only died once in my last 3 games, which isn't bad providing i'm level 9. Sooo tempted to buy an energy pack >:/ Ahh well, that's for a different thread....
the sniper armor is actually getting to be pretty attractive to me because if you fully upgrade the cloaking then you would basically be invisible. Then, you hang around high places by upgrading your jump and ppl with autoaim won't know where they are getting shot from. I might actually try it.
That's my goal. I have the sniper armor with 3 bars of cloaking (out of about 10), and I'm already relatively see through! Add me on Plus+ (Fleabag323), click to invite me to a friends match, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'm just excited that I'll be invisible soon. >=) I wonder if I can become fully invisible.. Then with upgraded shielding..
I've seen someone with maxed cloaking. It makes you like the power up, except you have this big outline around you. Nevertheless it was a b****y hard job finding him! I'd reccomend that (he says using upgraded standard armour!)
im using infiltrator right now, best in my opinion. Sniper also seems to be good( i can snipe w/ infiltrator+auto rifle though). The TS and CLO would really help. And also Tanker seems nice, equip it and heavy weapon like rocket launcher.
