Angry Birds. The physics are horrific. If they fixed the 'stickiness' the game would be infintely better and more fun.
All the Tower Defense games, Pocket Frogs, anything that sucks to me but is popular. I don't like the top 10 too much unless it is something good. popular + medicore gameplay = meh.
What the hell is Pocket Frogs anyway? Is that like one of those freemium cr-apps designed to trick people into spending more?
I have to go with Angry Birds here too. While it's a good casual game I just don't understand how it's THAT popular. There are sooo many games casual or hardcore, plenty better and plenty worse than Angry Birds IMO. So many in fact that it's hard to see how ANY 1 game can eclipse all others in such a way as Angry Birds has. I think at some point it became a cultural phenomenon, reached trend status and now it's transcended being just an iPhone game. I just dont understand how this became "the one" so to speak. So until I hear a convincing argument for why it should be this popular I'm choosing to pick on it lol.
Angry Birds is another. I played that game for about 5 minutes and deleted it. I tried to give it another chance recently, but just ended up deleting it again. I don't understand its appeal at all. Maybe because it's "cute" and has weird sound effects?
Yeah, i see your point, but once you start using two different birds and face crazier tower layouts, its much more fun than it was in the first levels. I personally play with the sounds off, and its still as fun. However, i need to admit it doesnt deserve to be #1 game for such a long time.
For me its racing games. Not so much that I hate them, but I suck at them. Some popular racing game will go on sale for a buck and I will buy it, hoping this is the one that I can do well at and once again, I end up in last place. That and Madden football. Picked it up for a buck when it was on sale and thought I would have a blast with it. Have not played a football game in ages and now I realize why. They are so complex. I ended up playing the electric football on there for a week before erasing it.
Real Racing one. Liked NFSS and GT Racing way more. But I'm glad Firemint evolved. Real Racing 2 kicks serious butt and should be the iOS Racer of the Year in my book.
