Wow. This takes me back to day one of the App Store. I remember the keynote that jobs did for the App Store. Brilliant presentation as always. . My first i think was cube runner. Which is still around if you want it. Also I know Apple's poker game was up there as well. That might have been number one but its since been removed.

Also a honorable mention would be a game that has been pulled called stone loops of jurassica. This was a early iPhone game that was challenging and really fun. It pisses me off that I purchased it and can't play it anymore.

Not my first, but one of my firsts too. (Sounds kind of dirty when you say it that way. Sloppy seconds?).

And to think now that seemed cool. How far things have come.

Oh man, I remember agonizing over this decision. Finally decided after all the neverending hype to go with what was the #1 game at the time, something I felt I could show off my iPhone capabilities to friends, even though I felt like I was paying way too much...and would later realize I didn't even care for the game all that much:

    Rolando.

Super Monkey Ball, but never finished it, Super Monkey Ball 2 was better.

I dunno, I'd like to say all the Eliminate Pro variants on the app store, but I had gotten games before that. Oh how I miss Eliminate Pro on my iPod 2G.

What a good post...sadly my first download was Mafia Wars, followed by Flick Fishing. I do remember loving Flick Fishing though...Mafia Wars was one that my friends were playing at the time and I didn't wanna be left out. :D

Ravensword. I bought the iPhone instead of a PSP because of that game.

    It was this game

    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/freeverse-moto-chaser-wingnuts-motoracer/

The day the app store came out and the only good games was Enigmo, Super Monkey Ball and this was called MOTO RACER which was 10 dollars. When I saw that name I instantly thought of the awesome original game series I had on the pc

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFqeHnV-ujw

I'm still a little upset I bought the game because it was basically a bait and switch (and looked and played like game in alpha stage) since the screenshots made it to look like exactly that game and I'm guessing they had to change the name 6 months later because EA owns the rights to the game.
