Here's my entirely southpaw setup, featuring the superb 27" iMac with extended desktop over to a Dell 24" for docs etc. (and an old PC). Not so long ago the setup was a 4:3 19" Belinea CRT monitor (weighing in at around 15 metric tonnes) and an old Mac mini (great machine but did struggle as soon as Photoshop got involved).
i love the trackpad, took me a while to get used to the trackpad but i have a habit of buying new things. here is my updated work desk just for fun - the new air, the old ipad and yea the same setup...
simplistic. You should see my brothers work station. Works for an animation studio out of dallas...freaking amazing.
I will suggest another monitor hang on wall, so you can exercise your neck up and down, left and right
I'm just a kid also wanting to create. Does everyone have Xcode, if so where do I get/use it. Will it work on Mac? Really should have looked at pic closer.
Well i'm sure there are many threads discussing this topic, but yah xcode works only on a mac, and it's the main tool to create apps for iOS, you can get it from here http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action
After making a million dollars on the app store, I built a new house to work in. You can check some of it out here: http://www.rockingpocketgames.com/studiotour.htm
Hehe, your work-space/house looks awesome...think it totally killed this thread though, LOL. "Oh let me just post my work-space right after this guy's work-mansion..." Seriously though, congrats and I will actually post my humble humble work-space...hopefully this keeps the thread going because I found it very interesting
What, am I the only slob dev here? These workspaces look as if the maid came in and tidied up before the photos were taken! My desk has an empty Fritos bag, an empty glass with the remnants of a suspicious drink, 2 unplugged mice I don't use, some scrap papers with 3 month old "important notes" scrawled on them that I'm afraid to throw away, some spare change, 2 old hard drives I use for backing up and a pair of scratched up sunglasses. Somehow I get the job done though.
Your workplace looks neat and..cozy? Not like other indie developers work place with many cables and stuff in a messy on the table. You cleaned them before taking picture I just guess :-D
This image is about a year old - I've since gotten a second monitor and a set of good earphones (far right). The quality of the image could be better but it was taken with my iPhone using a panoramic app.
