    Re: Skull Legends

I paid a buck for this game, which is probably the only reason it's still on my phone (note to Devs, Free-to-Play make get you more downloads, but your retention rate is much better when people have skin in the game).

It's the best archery game I've seen (not saying much & would love suggestions) mixed in with light TD elements.

The difficulty on "normal" is a joke - I nearly deleted it the 1st day (despite what I said in 1st paragraph) until I realized that there was an easy mode, and it didn't just go normal-hard-extreme or some such.

The game is fun enough on easy mode, but the "power-up" items in the shop (bows, arrows, etc) are a ridiculous multiple of the gold received per game. I'm eyeing an 8,000GP bow, but averaging about 200GP per game. And of course the IAP price for gold is punishingly high.

The 2 bullet points to take away from this seminar?

    # Skull Legends is a no-brainier pickup @ $0.00

    # If Devs would only price their IAP gold more generously, they'd see a lot more real $ coming back to them. This is simple economics 101 (lower price = higher demand) and it's especially true when the game itself is only $1 to begin with. Let me buff up into a God for $2 and you've now gotten 200% more from me. Make me grind and you won't see my money again.

Any recommendations on the Marvel tables? Between this, KOTOR, and Baldurs Gate, I am going to be broke as a joke.

    Sir,

Thank you for the feedback. I already purchased it and downloading it right now. Yes, you can play iPhone/iPad games with Apple TV via Airplay.

Hmm... Deus Ex and Tomb Raider at 99 cents? I'm hoping TWEWY will have some sort of sale... hoping.

Fantastic platformer. One of the best and most epic on iOS. I still haven't finished it (too many games and this is quite a lengthy one). Only complaint is the 1 GB it takes up and a little grinding tied to opening levels up (unless you are pitch perfect) but in the end, it's more than worth it.

Wonder if Microsoft will ever have the first one ported over (also a great game but not on the scale of this one).

Looks like another mega Bulkypix sale is coming. Yesterday, Dead Effect and JAZZ: Trump's Journey are all reduced too. Probably worth digging out the Bulkypix sale thread from a couple of weeks ago. I suspect most of those will be reduced again.

I love this game sooo much more on my iPhone then my 3DS. The Retina and touch gestures are just so spot on. The only downside of TWEWY on iOS is the whopping 2.4 GB file size. Square will probably throw more things on sale right before the shutdown. Hopefully right after their FF6 surprise release!

It runs on your ipod touch 4g but it's not always without issues (Framerate, missing effects...) I'd avise you to watch some videos on youtube before you buy it.

Like the video made by our own "Ipod touch 4g master" aka Der-Kleine:
