You don't just have to place the scrolls you have to kill the guy that spWns after you do it -_- yeah I died right away and didn't unlock a thing.
Should have known something was up when they said just perform a "totally safe" ritual on the 10th level. While being limited to a 5 item inventory is annoying, I appreciate the added tension it brings by having you constantly have to evaluate what are your 5 most important items to carry at the given moment.
Deff thinking about picking this one up, love 100 rogues and pixel dungeon, don't like really old school ones like rogue, is this a good buy ? =]
This is definitely "old school" style but you like pixel dungeon this is very similar with a monster collecting element
Sometimes it is better to drop your scrolls near the exit, try to manage 5 inventory slots and you will live longer
Just picked up the game, I really like it so far, are scrolls on bottom floor or they can be on any ? (Do I have to fully explore every floor ?)
Spoiler Not sure if it's the same each time but I think they usually spring about level 4, level 7, and always 1 on the final level, 10. So far I'm finding it fairly easy to get to the 10th level with all 3 scrolls, but it's the boss fight that kills me. It really feels that the whole 10 levels of the game exist just to prepare your ultimate build to go against this extremely tough boss. You best have your healing items stockpiled in the final room to prep for the coming battle. Which 3 monsters did you all start with? I got the Killer Weasel, Mr. Umbella, and the Ice Queen (not their names in-game but nicely sum them up). I see many started with Hell Kitty (lucky bastages).
Yep, although I think everybody gets Killer Weasel and Mr. Umbrella, but the third seems slightly randomized. Not clear what it's based on but deleting and reinstalling doesn't seem to change anything.
On-screen directional buttons are stopping me from picking this up. Many other mobile roguelikes have adapted movement for touchscreens much better and using on-screen controls sucks on my iPad. Too bad
Hi LordGek! It's randomized for sure. If you haven't made too much progress then delete the app, go to Privacy in Settings and reset your advertising identifier. Then download and try again. Pretty sure that is the seed they are using. After I reset I was able to score a Nekomata that way! The advertising identifier was an Apple-created replacement for UDID, which in turn was the original key I used for telling Rogue Touch players apart on the ChronoSoft leaderboards back in the day
Oddly enough, I just tried deleting and reinstalling before I read your post and got Hell Kitty (no Ice Princess). I love Hell Kitty's diversity. You get to curse, toss fireballs, raise the dead, and turn into a demon all with just this character.
Oh, what are the Lantern's 4 powers? I know I've been blinded by Lanterns, but I don't actually get what that effect does. Has anyone here, even if playing in Picnic mode, managed to unlock some extra guys?
Flamespit, which set ground on fire for turns. Lantern shape, which regenerate hp but it doesn't make you hungrier. Iluminate, which make enemies blind, decreases accuracy. And the ultimate Jibaku, EXPLOSION!!!
So you unlock yokai automatically after you collect 3 scrolls? Are the 3 scrolls randomized on different floors...? I haven't even found 1
Yes the scrolls are randomized on different floors everytime you play a new run. To unlock a new yokai, 1. Take 3 scrolls to floor 10 2. Drop them in 3 special "slots" somewhere 3. Summon the BOSS and defeat it That's it, good luck
I finally hit the buy button. The amount of wasted space on the screen and the fact that it's landscape only drives me nuts lol. But, it's a pretty cool game. Glad there's an endless dungeon challenge too.
