yeah I hope it was your character having the sickness swirls above it's head.. cause your weapon smoking might be that you've been playing the game a bit too much sickness will lower your health every few turns, can be cured with various health items or an elixer.. should then also stop your weapon from smoking
v1.3.2 is coming, fixing 3 "little" things: 1 Unlocking the newsletter-exclusive Voodoo character isn't working correctly (oops, it's been one of those days) So this version will fix it. 2 The codex was showing a few more monsters in it's total-count than you could possibly grab. 3 The end-boss lair wasn't showing up in all runs, which is now also fixed! It's waiting for Apple's Approval, so give it a few hours
v1.4.0 is submitted for Apple's approval. I’ve added a few new things you can encounter, a Tree which you can shake, a floating Monk which is open for trading ANYTHING.. altho you never really know what you’ll get in return. On the item front I’ve added a new item type: Pills. These are undefined until you use them, and right now there eight different outcomes of what those pills can do.. so.. experiment with pills (in the game only! not in real life!). How do you access the voodoo character ? I ve registered using the eMail I also use for my iOs account but it seems to stay locked

v1.5.0 is coming featuring a few new rooms and a lot of balancing fixes and tweaks: (give it a day or so to get approved for release) This update took a little longer than expected, mostly because it comes with a lot of minor tweaks to the balancing of difficulty and other settings (for the better!). The main change in this build are the new room types tho, there are now three new gate types you can encounter: Library room, Treasure room, Knights room. Figure out how to get in, and enjoy! version 1.6.0 is NOW live, with a lot of new monsters, some new items, and a complete new area: As the title says, this update is mostly about MORE MONSTERS! Some of those monsters show up in known area’s, but this update also comes with a new area: The cold! Which is covered in snow, comes with some very dangerous creatures, and requires a bit more care when entering.. so be warned! I'm still loving the game and all of the work that continues to go into this, but feel like I'll never unlock the Knight. I finally finished the first objective and feel like it will take forever to complete another four. Has anyone unlocked the Knight or anyone else?
Some have unlocked it, but most players also are asking for easier objectives, so I'm pushing v1.6.1 now which hopefully remedies it. Originally the objectives were added as a bonus for the die-hard players, and something that would be completed slowly and not so much a main task.. BUT most players see objectives as a “must complete that now!” kinda thing, which I totally understand, so in this update I make them somewhat easier and more mainstream to complete for everybody.
Yeah, I'm definitely in that 2nd group you described. If the objective didn't mean anything I wouldn't try, but unlocking a new character is something to shoot for....but only if attainable.
I cannot believe the developers constant work on the game. The New content, fixes, and additions just keep getting bigger and better . I’ll continue to support and buy every game. This is what mobile gaming at its best looks like.
v1.7.0 - Fear the Reaper A small update, as I'm really running out of idea's for this one, so this idea was from user feedback I added a character : The Reaper which now roams the dungeons. When you encounter him, you can run away, but this will most likely cost you a bunch of hearts. OR you can deal with him, and this will only cost you a specific skill you learned. … of course there is also another way to get rid of him, but I won’t spoil anything here IF you have any interesting ideas to add to the game, I’m pretty much out of my own ideas about the game, so I’d love to hear your ideas!
