Looks pretty good. Supposed to be realeased sometime this fall (PSP version will be released Sept. 29, so hopefully sometime around then) http://www.rockstargames.com/news/2009/08/31/371/beaterator_coming_for_iphone™_and_ipod®_touch Here's a video featuring the PSP version: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
The only thing I was looking at that entire video was the PSP Go. That is a VERY nice looking handheld.
Now if they release that Korg DS-10 synth thing on the iPhone, I'm gonna ditch my Logic setup! ...just kidding. But this does look cool. Love Timbaland's beats.
I'm really lookin forward to it too! As soon as I saw it, I wanted to buy it for my PSP, until.... I saw the "coming soon to iPhone" tab! Woot! Looks good! Lets see if this audio will embed... Cross your fingers! Nope... Didn't work. Here's a link instead. http://www.rockstargames.com/beaterator
HUZZAH! I love Rockstar. Even Square Enix let us down in their appstore debut, and so did Konami, But Rockstar? Hell no! They just totally own as usual. I'll buy this on the holidays.
Looks looks pretty bad @$$. However, will it have the ability to export as .wav....etc...? edit: Nvm I just read the whole description. This will have the ability to export.
now with both gta chinatown wars and beaterator...i'm curious as to how much rockstar plans on charging. i wouldn't be surprised in the least if rockstar is the company that busts out the 19.99+ gaming apps.
Yup. That's sort of what I expect the price to be for GTA: CW. Although, I'm not quite certain that will be the price of Beatorater. I think that might be around $9.99. I don't know since I can't find it. I hate the PSN... And the PSP..
both beaterator and gta:cw are 39.99 for the psp/psn. gta:cw can be easily found for around 20-30 on the DS however. it'll definitely be interesting to see what they do and if they influence the app market when it comes to major publishers/developers...
Heh, I know this probably sounds dumb, but would anyone care to explain exactly what this game is all about? I've tried to read one or two articles on it but didn't really get much out of them. Thanks!
I dunno, there are plenty of excellent synthesizers on itunes. For example: Noise.io and Beatmaker. I am still interested in seeing how this works.
OUCH!! That's going to leave a mark on this poor boy's wallet. At least I'll get some gift cards for the holidays.
I reckon this one will probably be $4.99 and GTA $9.99 As much as the games deserve to be more I doubt they will cross the $10 barrier as it may cause uprage in those who don't know how good GTA is and how much it deserves to be
I agree I hope this one doesn't pass the $5 line, because, for all we know, it's just a regular beatmaker. There's a crapload of awesome beatmakers out there, and they'd better set the price reasonable for people to want to choose it over others.
