Can't wait! Played this at my FLGS on Tabletop Day and looked into picking up a copy... Until I saw it retails for $99.99 Now I don't have to worry about that giant hit to my wallet, the sheer amount of space this game takes up, the fact that teaching this to new players is tough (better for dedicated play groups), AND the digital version comes with async multiplayer so I always have opponents to play against!
And they've announced the price is only $6.99. That is an unbelievable deal for this game and the amount of depth it has, and the implementation, which looks to be top-notch.
Looks fantastic, but is there any chance for an iPhone/Universal version? It's not so easy to get our iPad away from our daughter...
Question to BDC - I have never played Eclipse but know it is rated highly on BGG and am really looking forward to playing the game on my iPad. In preparation for the release of the app I have been reading the game rules and notice there is a diplomacy element to the game. Is this available in single player games vs AI or only used in multi-player.
This looks awesome. I'll most likely get it when it's out for sure. I'm a sucker for 4x games, even more so when it's in space.
I have really been looking forward to this. Day one purchase for sure. Now if Playdek would hurry the hell up with Agricola.......................
A Big Daddy Creation? I've enjoyed most of their output, the only exception being the frog game. Most likely this will be a Day One purchase for me.
Super excited about adding this to my digital board game collection. My wife and usual gaming group rarely get into serious games like this, so having a digital version is ideal.
Diplomacy is fairly simple - you exchange your diplomats (each species gets 3) and they increase production of a resource you chose, plus it gives you 1 VP. Downside of exchanging diplomats is you can't attack other player you've established diplomatic relations with. If you do, you'll get a Traitor penalty which is -2 VP at the end of the game. But only one player can be the Traitor, so important part here is not to be the last one who breaks alliance
Can you upload a video that includes a colonization (after some exploration), some research, a battle and some diplomacy please?
