Leaf Bound: Mecha Monkey Mayhem is an upcoming iPhone and iPod Touch Game Battle the evil robots as Yuri makes her way up to the top. Embark on a journey high into the forest collecting power ups and face evil robotic monkeys. Battle evil bosses and save the forest from evil destruction. Only on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Yuri is always jumping so you control where she goes by moving your finger side to side. You bounce off leafs to advance higher into the stage and to get to the boss. On your way you can stomp on Monkeys to destroy them but watch out for their coconuts because if they hit your head you'll lose a life. Collecting items in certain combinations will give your character special abilities or power ups. Video: Screenshots: ... ... ... ... I came across this game by searching for upcoming iPhone games on YouTube. I'm currently beta testing it and it's a really addictive, fun game. It's kind of like Doodle Jump/Papi Jump but it's more hectic and has Mecha Monkeys! You can fall down though so the Monkeys are you biggest threat. Leaf Bound: Mecha Monkey Mayhem... Was this inspired by some weird Japanese manga comic or somethin'?
Hello Kamazar, I'm new here so let me introduce myself. My name is Dang, I'm the web developer and technical artist for Leaf Bound. The artist that designed the character "Yuri", has a background in Japanese comic art. We wanted to give this game a Japanese character feel and twist it a little with the Monkeys. It is a different style approach. We are in our final stages of completely the game. We are looking to submit the game to apple for review by the end of the week. We'll keep everyone posted. Thanks, Palfince for the post!
I added two more screenshots of levels 4 and 5 which look great. I think that this game is really a great version of Doodle Jump and Winterbells but with more action!
That's a great art style. It looks like the sprites are fully AA. I hope nobody misunderstands your video and thinks the action only plays on half the screen! (We can see from the size of your screenshots that the game really is full screen.)
I added two screenshots of level 6 and a screenshot of the level 5 boss (the grey golem thing) to the first post. You can also follow Leafbound on Twitter and Facebook: The game is currently being wrapped up and will be submitted to the App Store soon.
The developer posted this on their twitter about 8 hours ago: It looks like Leaf Bound is coming pretty soon!
Hey guys! We are polishing the level music so it has a consistent volume throughout all of the levels. We had a few others compose the audio tracks for some of the levels. My sister is the main composer for Leaf Bound so she is going through the tracks to make sure it has a consistent level of audio. We also made sure all of the levels become more challenging as you progress. We have a handful of people playing our latest build today to make sure nothing funny happens. We just updated our pause button from an "M" to a "II" so that way people will automatically know it is a pause button. But yeah for those who have the 3G S phones this game is super super smooth! I just picked the 3G S on Friday to test our game on it and it is amazing! Thanks Palfince for the updates!
The game has now been submitted for approval! I also added the new game play video to the first post.
*Kamazar/Crouching Tiger/Flying Crane/Kicking Grasshopper awaits the release of Leaf Bound: Mecha Monkey Mayhem*
The game was just released. Can anyone tell me what kind of a game it is? It's hard to tell from the screenshots (but I like the artwork).
Hello Tinsel, I'm the technical artist for leaf bound. Here is a video of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVpbW1D3Rco This game has a character name Yuri, she is constantly jumping up and down. You control her by moving your finger left to right. The goal is to jump up high towards the top and reach the boss. Every stage has a different boss. Each with a different attacks and ways to attack it. Tip: Keep your finger at the bottom of the screen so you can have better visibility. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
I just bought ir for 0.79e. For the words of Palfince looks like a very good game and I like a lot Doodlejump. I recommend to the developer to post in game releases to announce the game and to tell Toucharcade moderators too
Hey Cookie Monster, Leaf Bound had just release yesterday. It is now on the App Store. There is a thread over here on it: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=17918
