I do enjoy seeing how something that was made for a game jam can be expanded upon and released as a quality product. I could imagine this working well with a mifi controller if the dev added support for that as the controls are simply swiping in a direction. If anything, the game would be better with mifi controls or even virtual buttons (dpad) because it would take out the lag between making a swipe and it happening on screen. Precision moves would be much easier to pull off. Glorkbot Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2013 429 0 16 Cartoonist http://kochalka.tumblr.com/ #9 Glorkbot, Oct 10, 2014 A floating d-pad would work fine. The browser-based demo of the game uses buttons for control and it's awesome. That said, the iOS controls are great too. Duke Dashington is a great li'l game, and it's fun to replay. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #10 somedumbgamer, Oct 11, 2014 Thanks fellas! I'm gonna pass as I don't care to swipe nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #11 nightc1, Oct 11, 2014 Understandable. I actually like swipe controls. But then I played a lot of Subway Surfers to really dial in a feel for that control scheme. Still options are good, it's possible the dev could add some options considering how receptive they were to making this ios6 compatible and throwing in all the GameCenter stuff. Glorkbot Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2013 429 0 16 Cartoonist http://kochalka.tumblr.com/ #12 Glorkbot, Oct 11, 2014 Technically, Duke Dashington doesn't have swipe controls. You don't swipe, you touch and drag. It's hard to explain until you try it, but if you try swiping it doesn't actually work. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
