This game seems to have a huge following based on the main thread. Guess I'll see what the fuss is about. BTG-XCELL Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2014 90 0 0 #3 BTG-XCELL, Mar 28, 2014 Just saw this in my watch list. Debating whether to download or wait until it's an actual "sale" since I was waiting for it to go for $2.99 or less like Kingdom Rush and want to support the dev... Anyone know how FAAD compensates devs? Jake7905 Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2013 1,004 0 0 #4 Jake7905, Mar 28, 2014 Bought the IPad version a while back, and I consider it $5 well spent. It's basically a Kingdom Rush clone with a card collecting twist. The level design and balance leave much to be desired, and I found it to be a little on the easy side, especially when you master the card collecting part. Overall, it's a steal for a free download. And it's still on my IPad. arnoldc Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2009 275 0 0 #5 arnoldc, Mar 28, 2014 This TD game has lot of depth. I rated it in the same league as King Rush or Fieldrunners. zdn1042 Well-Known Member May 10, 2013 642 0 0 #6 zdn1042, Mar 28, 2014 Same league as Kingdom Rush/Fieldrunners? Then I'm definitely getting this one. Thanks for the tip! tricket Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2010 287 0 0 #7 tricket, Mar 28, 2014 Hi there! I'm Tom, one of the developers, and I'd say that if you're interested, go ahead and get it while it's free. We actually pay FAAD rather than the other way around, but the hope is that making the game free for a bit helps spread word of mouth. So by all means, grab it now, and don't feel guilty. If you want more later, you can always buy a buck of in-app currency ... but honestly, it's a sale with no strings attached. Oh, but positive reviews are always welcome! My only quibble was that it took me a while to get over the fact that you can't see the whole map at once but to be honest even that stopped bothering me after a while. It's a great game Card Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 818 6 18 Toronto Canada #12 Card, Mar 28, 2014 Having fun. Thanks for the sale. tricket Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2010 287 0 0 #13 tricket, Mar 28, 2014 Thanks, everyone. You guys rock. Seriously, the support we've received in the TouchArcade forums is one of the main things that's made us love making this game. We've gone through three updates now (iPhone update is "In Approval" at Apple right now, hopefully for later today!), all with new features directly from people here. So just: thanks.
