Albion Online - cross-platform medieval sandbox MMO

Indie developer Sandbox Interactive just announced Albion Online.

Albion Online is a Free-to-Play medieval sandbox MMO.

Albion Online is also the first true cross-platform MMO, running on different platforms like Windows, iOS, Android at the same time and in the same world!

Key Features:

Player-driven economy

- All items AND buildings are player crafted.
- Build your own villages and towns.
- Rent out land or production buildings to other guilds.

PvP & Full Loot

- One of the first games to combine PvP, Player-Driven-Economy and full loot in a Free-to-play game.
- Death is meaningfull if you can loose everything.

“Free to Play”, but NOT “Pay to Win”

- We (the company) are not selling items to the players. We are only acting like a central bank, exchanging currencies.
- Items and resources can only be bought from other players.
- You can acquire every item (realistically) and every premium service without ever paying with real money.

Unique character customization

- There are no classes in Albion Online. You class is determined by the items you are wearing!
- You can combine any item with each other. There are no boundaries!
- Want to become the Mage Knight in Cloth Armor wielding Sword & Shield? In Albion Online this is possible!

Cross plattform & one massive world

- Every player in Albion Online plays on one master server. There is only one huge game world.
- Sitting in a café, playing on your tablet? You play in the same world like your friend, who plays at home from his PC!

Territory control system

- Our core gameplay involves conquering territories.
- Conquering and holding territories has many advantages:
… to have access to resources and territories to build your own village.
… and to be protected from the dangers of the wild and the demons of the void.

this is the kind of ambition we need in the field of ios gaming. If this game meets expectations, then itll raise the bar for ios rpg strategies. count me in on this project. When it comes out, ill make sure i get it.

that reminds me... do you guys have a release date?

OMG, is this real? This looks too good to be true!

I've been looking for a game like this for years... Ever since Ultima Online got ruined.

Oh man, can this be the one?

Public awareness

Guys. We can't let this thread go out of use. We need to get the word out that this game exists, and that it's got potential. So far, this thread doesn't have too many comments... I m guessing that that's because people skim over titles that aren't already familiar to them. But the longer that we can keep it in the general forum, and the more comments that we post... The more support we will undoubtedly obtain from fellow players.

I got to watch a little bit of this with no sound, and it looked pretty sweet. I was hoping to watch it in full with sound today, but it looks like the video was removed. I'm guessing they have an NDA in effect, so had it taken down.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's showing up again.
