App description: Think. Arm. Strike.

Mixing popular 1v1 action with completely new mechanics, Kinetic Damage stands up from decades of the same fighting game formula to bring you something fresh.
Smashing fists, aerial kicks, one-two sways, armlocks, switching stances, fast paced strategies, and an advanced Artificial Intelligence ...
What fighter will you build ? What legend will you be ?

* Create your fighter !
Choose your gender, your haircut, your clothes, create your own style.
8 different clothing styles for arms, legs and torso, 10 colors per style, 12 different faces, 8 different haircuts, and 1 special outfit per Martial Art !

* Choose between 8 legendary Martial Arts !
Jeet Kun Do, Ninjutsu, Taekwondo, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Tai Chi Chuan, Shaolin Kung Fu, Break !
All have unique mechanics, designed to reflect their real-life base principles.
Each having : 16 base strikes, 4 (very) special moves, and 6 unique strings of combos.
Will you choose to be the fast and deadly, but fragile Ninjutsu ? Or the slower, but crushing Muay Thai ?

* Easy to handle, hard to master
Kinetic Damage is designed to offer easy and responsive controls, like simple press / hold schemes, and a discrete but clear directional pad.
Outputting a strike has never been so easy ... but hidden, deeper mechanics, are working seamlessly behind your fists and your kicks.
Learn to master critical strikes, stance switching, localized damages, powerups, wounds, stamina management ... Just like in a real martial art competition, arcade style !

* Make your fighter evolve !
The Career mode lets you participate in 24 different events, each having their own fight rules. Tournaments, Fight Roulettes, Temporary Stats boost, Draining strikes ...
Each event will offer you a whole new way of fighting. Win a fight, and you gain either credits, boosts, or other attractive prizes. Lose it, and you *lose* what you should have gained.
Now can you feel the pressure behind your decisions during the fight ? But that's for good ! Because with those hard earned credits, you will be able to buy combos, special moves, special outfits, boosts and other cool stuff !
Or you can still train calmly in regular matches, just search for the Dojo ;)

* Advanced Artificial Intelligence
Kinetic Damage's Artificial Intelligence has received a significant amount of work, to bring you a varied and intense experience.
Tactics, mistakes, retreats, neat combos, and even mindgames ... yes, mindgames, baiting for you to make a mistake. Every fighter you will meet will have its own personality,
may it be offensive, defensive, reactive, or a mix of them all. Even better : they're adjusting their "mind" according to *your* reactions.
Even, even better : you will be able to coach a cpu partner in the career mode, by giving him realtime strategy directions, on top of *his* own decisions.

Enter the fight ! And deliver the DAMAGE !

Out in Spain too! I'll leave impressions soon. So far I'd say get it, but remember that this isn't your classic 2D fighting game. Reading the how to play tips in the main menu is highly recommended to understand how this game works. I played some matches without reading them, and well...

Just right after opening the game, you'll understand why this took so many time. The menu is really cool. You can play Career mode, single matches, change some things in Options (music, sounds, ambience sounds and graphics), and, well, take a look at the credits xD
The Career mode is the main mode of the game. The first thing you'll have to do is create your own fighter. There's already a video in the upcoming thread that shows it. There are lots of options, and you'll unlock more in the Career mode. Just remember that if you create the character and start playing as him, if you want to edit him again you'll have to pay for the clothes and such (of course, with in-game credits).
Then, after creating your character you have access to the map. There are 4 places there: Fight Lab, Olympic Resort, Casino and Dojo. There's a help menu that explains them, but I'll try to summarize. Each place has different matches with different rules. The Fight Lab for example has matches where your character gets different boosts. The prize is a boost that will be used in your next match, but if you lose you'll get the opposite. Then the Olympic Resort is more like normal matches without boosts. There are little tourneys, team survival... You can also get a partner here for free, after you defeat him, that is. In Casino missions are about money. For example, in one of the missions you have to hit the opponent to get some money. It'll be added to the money you get some seconds after the last hit, but if the opponent hits you, you'll lose that amount. Finally, in Dojo you can improve your character, play normal single matches, create an event (those created events will give you less money than the events from the map though) and hire a partner.
The game revolves around improving your char. You can do that in the shop at the Dojo. There, you spend in-game credits to buy combos, special moves, clothes and change the art of your character. You get this money from the missions of the map. Yeah, that's right, no IAP! So don't worry sbout the rate of getting money, but I'd say it's okay. You don't have to grind a lot, but since most of the matches has a fee you're risking your money in every match.
Well, explaining this was the easy part, because the game is hard as hell. Of course missions have different difficulties, but they all are still very difficult. Don't expect silly AI on this game. Your partner, for example, is an AI character. After hiring/getting one, you can "play" as him. I put those " there because you'll be his coach instead. You can make him play more aggresive, react to the opponent or think about the situation. So yeah, you can change how the partner's AI work in real time, and every other opponent in the game is the same. There's no perfect AI in this game that reads your input, but instead thinks what you're about to do. I hate when they start spamming dashes until running out of energy. Every opponent has its own weakness.

And well, that's all, because I'm kinda tired. I highly recommend this game, and I'm sure that the multiplayer update will make it even better, but IMO it needs some damage balancing and other things along MP, but I need a rest so I'll talk about it later . Graphics, by the way, are good, but the dev also said that he'd like to improve them as well (no promises though). With max graphics level the game crashed twice on my iPhone 4S (iOS 6.1.1 jailbroken). But prepare to get easily frustated. Getting the hang of this game is really hard, but I guess that's not a bad thing.
BTW, taekwondo player here
