So I randomly decided to go back and play some more Sword & Poker, and went to the App Store to install it. Look what I found:

Yep, Konami appear to have bought the rights. Weird.

Graphics are very nice, if a bit generic (they lack some of the charm of the older games).

And there's energy. M*****ing energy. Sigh.

Anyway, y'all might like to give it a go.

Holy Crapola Sword & Poker 2 was one of my favorite iOS games - nice to see an update. Have they added any additional story/dialog to the game?

VERY SMOOOOOOTH INDEED!

Seems like there is still hope for it. At least Konami is trying stuff out, hopefully aimed for a more premium angle in a free game.

OMG OMG Freakin out! Is this related to the original or did they just rip the name. Nonetheless I must have it. I've been waiting for a decent sequel for a LOOONG time.

Edit: Not sure how I missed this when it was first posted. Must have been buried. Darn it.

I loved the two original S&P games, I just hope this lives up to the name.
