This could be me, but this sounds an awful lot like Forest Folk (http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=40293) The discussion about Pocket God meets Black & White also rose in that topic, so might be worth looking at.
No need to apologize; as soon as they reveal some new killer game that everyone wants, you'll change your mind back again
Good games cost money. Developers need to eat too! Besides, microtransactions encourage developers to release updates, patches, and feature additions. I'd rather pay three or four small payments for a game that receives 6 months or more of updates than one large payment for a game that is dumped out and abandoned.
Seems more similar to the PC game "Black & White" than Pocket God to me. Also, I don't see them doing a microtransaction-model for this type of game. Either way, sounds like it's going to be pretty interesting; looking forward to new announcements.
This looks really interesting, especially the artwork. I wonder about the price system... Eliminate and TouchPets were successful, but they surely didn't make a big profit.
(I have no special knowledge of this game) The you need followers part on the image posted makes me worry this will be a mafia-style posse gathering game (codes and what not) arn
This sounds far closer to Populous, Black & White, even The Settlers than it does to Pocket God. I'm expecting Godfinger to be a game rather than a 5-minute Flash toy with no rhyme or reason.
I'd be more excited if ngmoco didn't have a habit of releasing their apps eight months after they are announced and now they just use in app purchasing.
Can you still play Ngmoco games like Eliminate and TPD after their servers stop working? For me I'd rather pay for a big money for a game I can 'really' own and keep and play again years into the future for nostalgia and when I give my phone to my son so he can play those games than pay three or small payments for a game that feels like I'm only RENTING! By the way where are the extra levels for Rolando 2 and Star Defense, those games feels abandoned to me!
ill pay extra if need be.. but i do not agree with how they milk and dime you.. its like you never own the game. heh.. but this is my money and my opinion.. if people support them, that's there choice. chris.
First of all; your site fails. On topic: Are we going to have to pay to progress anywhere in this game also?
We just started it recently, upgrading from a blogspot blog. We'll make it better, it's just basic templates for now. In time, I'll edit the CSS of the theme.
