This looked turn based, do a search for Hack, Slash, Loot on Steam. It looks similar. This looks like it's gonna calm my rogue-like lust till CQ 2.
I don't know what it is about roguelikes, but I literally cannot have too many of them. Even when they play similarly to others I still absolutely playing them, I don't know what it is about them! If you haven't been able to try out CQ2 then you'll love it - one of my favourite iOS roguelikes for a while. I also recommend Hoplite if you need another quality fix!
CQ2 = Cardinal Quest 2. Currently soft launched in Canada. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=215885 I've been playing a fair bit of it. Definitely picking this up tonight as well. I don't think there are enough rogue likes on iOS. Not that there could ever be too many.
It's also out in the UK, if that helps anyone. I definitely agree that there can't be too many! I'm very grateful that there's been a surge in popularity for the genre though.
Not to derail the thread, but you may want to check out Merchant Beyond the Stars too. I'm loving that this is an RPG-heavy week, they don't happen very often! OT: Still not out in the UK, unfortunately
It confuses me that people discuss Cardinal Quest 2 in hushed whispers like it's some godsend to roguelike fans; I haven't played it yet so can't be sure but the original struck me as more geared towards casual play. There certainly seem to be more promising roguelikes on iOS from the looks of things; like Hell the Dungeons Again here (at a glance).
I have high hopes for Hell the Dungeons Again. There are a few other upcoming Rogue likes that look like they might be good. CQ2 is possibly more "casual" than the first. Being split into episodes that are shorter, 30-60minutes per complete run. It's a great change/alternative. Especially if your on the go. Either way, as mentioned before, the more Roguelikes the better.
