I’m testing a beta of the Muffin Knight with iCade support and it is great! http://appshopper.com/games/muffin-knight It should be submitted to Apple soon (maybe today!) according to the developer.
Wooohooo! I liked to think I have a small roll in this - I tweeted Mr Minter about considering iCade support a while ago. He didn't answer, but I bet it was my tweet that galvanised him
I think Minter getting an iCade and him seeing what a cool thing it is probably had something to do with it but every little bit helps.
I've noticed on the app store that Space Inversion 2 HD has now been updated with Icade support. Not yet had chance to check it out though.
Damn! and here I was thinking it was all down to me I hope Konami, Namco, and perhaps more importantly, TAITO get an iCade too! It's awesome that the smaller devs are supporting this - here's a big thank you to them all!
Ez money If the makers of the iCade send one to ...oh lets say...NAMCO america...Chillingo...ROVIO and all the developers of top tier iOS games they might find that the big guys are interested. The big guys usually are out of touch with the local markets...and this is a great way to get their products out and get more support. Think you work for EA and you see one of your coworkers on this iCade playing some other companies game....might work.....jusy saying. I want to see more game iCade compatable. Dual shooters....just need another iCade with 2 joysticks! I have 2 already..one for work and one for home....sadly I have also developed carpel tunnel syndrome but I cant stop mashing those button. If they came out with a dual joystick model.....I would buy 2 more.
Loving Space Inversion 2 HD on the icade, although I do prefer more the portrait mode of the original. A great space invader clone and Taito's loss!! The smaller devs are really doing a great job, but I find it strange that none of the bigger devs have updated their apps. Just imagaine Ultimate Mortal Kombat on the Icade, that would be insane! An Icade with twin joysticks would be great, but not to good for my bank balance!!
You may have a point, but Rovio? Seriously? Angry Birds is an OK game, but one thing it doesn't need is arcade controls.
Thats would be an intersting propspect, or how about an Icade with a trackball (thinking asteroids and missile command)
