My guess for screenshots/video would be next month. That gives everyone time to finish BGEE and Ravensword: Shadowlands before TSS hype ramps up.
That sounds great to me!! And, yes, those games will definitely be keeping me occupied!! Thanks for the update!!
Wow, I hought his died years ago, a deffenent buy for me... Will it run on iPod 3rd gen, or wil I require a new device?
That's a heck of a question. BG is one of my favourite games of all time - but it's a very different kind of RPG to The Shadow Sun, which has a greater emphasis on action-based combat. Think more along the lines of The Witcher with some Dragon Age and Jade Empire influences.
While I think that kind of support is admirable, I think developers should be less afraid to drop older device support in favor of making batter games on the newer hardware. I don't know the specifics in your case, but I would be really, really happy if support for the older devices did not influence the development of the high-end features. I've seen too many games that could've looked and played a lot better if they had given up on supporting older hardware. As long as you guys balance this well (which I both hope and have faith that you will) I'll be happy.
There's a new interview with me here. It only mentions The Shadow Sun in passing (I'm gagged until Alan gives the go ahead to speak about the game), but it might be of interest to some nonetheless.

No offense Luke, but this has to be the most bizarre per-release marketing campaign I have ever seen. There is simply no sane reason for your team not to be seeding media with something besides vague statements. Perhaps this will prove to be a genius move, but my guess is that you've squandered a lot of potential exposure for a game that is coming out (to take you at your word) in a few weeks. All I can say is: good luck. I'll be picking up the game when it comes out, but I'm not the audience you need to reach to make Shadow Sun a success. PS: the novel sounds pretty cool. Congratulations on your publishing deal.
We're talking about longer than a few weeks, but I take your point. Bear in mind the pre-release marketing campaign hasn't started yet - just me posting a few updates on a forum.
Cool, after this, and ravensword shadowland, all we need is bethesda to port the elder scrolls arena to ios, I could die a happy man if that happened(it wouldent be to hard, I could easily write a program that installs and runs the game through idos, then apple wouldn't have to worry about people using the dos to hack the iOS device. Too bad I don't have a Mac
