Buy 3 games instead of having 1 complete on the DS where is the logic in that. Will wait until all 3 are released and hopefully packaged together into 1 Puzzle Quest - Challenge of the warlords. Eng Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2008 297 0 0 #9 Eng, Dec 23, 2008 Yep, the main reason i didn't buy any of the toybot series, is because it was a series, i'm not paying triple the price, and taking up 3 spaces on my springboard, i'd rather buy the gaem as one, in one icon. kitehimuro Active Member Dec 7, 2008 28 0 0 #10 kitehimuro, Dec 23, 2008 Last edited: Dec 23, 2008 If it has instant action/levelup/multiplayer OUTSIDE of the story, it might be fun, bit I'm quite sure they went the asshole'ish way and put a level limit/gimped the enemy variation so you can't even enjoy that part fully. Edit: Also I don't care for the price, 20-30 is reasonable price for a full length full functional portable game, anyone bitching is a cheapass, and the reason we rarely see REAL games in the app shop. The thing is the game's been done for a year on all the different format, I don't want to have it in three separate pieces. Actually the game size is the same as the -FULL- pc version so go figure. CommanderData Well-Known Member Patreon Indie Nov 2, 2008 1,196 9 38 http://www.ChronoSoft.com #11 CommanderData, Dec 23, 2008 I agree with the comments that it should have been the complete game. Even if they charged $20-$30USD for it... I don't like having multiple "chapters" of a game eating up precious springboard space! The app store marketing side of me does see it as a clever way to avoid breaking the artificial barrier of $9.99 in the game category though, which might have scared off many potential customers. If they were really smart, they could have used chapters to their advantage and charged say $2 to $5 for this first one to suck in more players, then go full price on the additional chapters... Please define what YOU mean by "complete." I would define it as: polished, and a complete experience. A fair amount of gameplay for the money. Empire Strikes Back was a "complete" movie. Halo 2 a complete game. Assuming you played Xbox titles, would you still be holding out for the entire Halo trilogy on a single DVD? Are you still waiting for the 18 hour version of Star Wars to hit theaters, for the low-low price of $9? In the case of 1112, I think it's smart of the dev to get people started working on the first part while he gets the 2nd/3rd/whatever parts done. At least he knows if the game tanks not to keep going and move on to a different project. Why put forth all that effort for one HUGE game (and 1112 would likely reach 350+ MB by the time the story is over for ALL the chapters) and then have to listen to complaints that "it's not $0.99!!!" which seem to follow just about any game that isn't $0.99. It might be nice if people remembered a few things before chucking rocks at the iPhone devs: 1-They're just games, not essentials. 2-If you don't plan to buy it, I'm not sure your rationale for posting it on here other than being "that guy" on a message board. Don't you have an iPhone with lots of cheap games to enjoy? I mean, if people want to communicate with the dev about a pricing issue or whatever, go to them directly. Not to say don't post here, but it's of fairly limited impact on the situation. The actual sales numbers will be far more likely to dictate the dev's practice... that and direct feedback. Finally, 3-I also appreciate that if I won't want 250MB of my iPhone clogged by the game, I will be able to move on to the next section after importing my progress from the prior one. There's something to be said for being mindful that this is a mobile device lacking the storage space of a hard drive. Anyway, I got it and Tiki Towers today. Should make for an entertaining afternoon. arn Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 19, 2008 2,445 69 38 #15 arn, Dec 23, 2008 can you imagine the complainiing if they did that though?
