Sorry, but I couldn't agree less with the freemium comment. The only reason I'm interested (and bought the starter set which includes three figures, a bluetooth portal, and a code for the game) is because it's NOT freemium.

Yes, the actual portal is bluetooth. For $50, you get that, 3 figures, and a code for the game.
