The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are pending... Last week's GOTW thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=265066 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible (even if they aren't listed in this original post), weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote for it. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members with some activity. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. 4) Game updates, no matter how significant are not eligible for GOTW. There are enough new games to nominate that haven't been considered before. Notice of this poll may be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New"tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ Here is a list of new releases, please suggest any additions, I will better format in time: Alchemic Dungeons THREAD Brain Lands THREAD Divide By Sheep THREAD Escape THREAD The Executive THREAD GI Joe Strike THREAD Gran Text Auto THREAD Heroki THREAD Lego Minifigures Online THREAD Lostar THREAD Quadrush THREAD Shake Duck Off THREAD Su Mon Smash: Star Coliseum THREAD TapMon Battle THREAD Tiny Warriors: Power Up THREAD War of the Roses THREAD Credit to Ap0calypse, ImNoSuperman, TriggyWiggy, Arta, TheFrost, and EchoSeven for theGOTW legacy. HEROKI DIVIDE BY SHEEP Note, these two games are also one of the best games this year for me, so you should see them almost certain in my Top Ten for Game of the Year. I will vote for HEROKI though, not because a Dutch team made the game, Yeah well because of a Dutch team made the game, Ha ha.
*The Executive *Adventures of Pip Could you add this to the list, undeadcow? Thank you! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=265482 *Heroki Played Divide by Sheep, and I'd definitely recommend it to puzzle fans, but I've played The Executive much more. I'll never learn that puzzle games are not my style, no matter how good they are! And I'll just keep buying them week after week. Haha
Adventures of Pip Tiny Warriors Samurai Blitz Can't nominate Heroki and specially The Executive yet, since they got no playtime love so far. Pip is too good. I consider this week on par with my favorite first week of this year.
All nominations made the poll: The Executive 6 Heroki 6 Divide By Sheep 5 Adventures of Pip 4 .PXL Shifter! Tiny Warriors Samurai Blitz Alchemic Dungeons Edit: Except "Tap Adventures" because I cannot find a new release with that name, only Tap Adventure which came out in June.
Not voting this week. I wouldn't be able to live with myself choosing The Exectutive over Heroki, or vice versa.
It's ok. The Executive is going to win, hands down. Cool that you "respect" them both equally. I haven't enjoyed an iOS title as much as The Executive in quite a while. I get excited just thinking about playing it. My second choice would be Adventures of Pip. Excellent adventure/platformer. I did play a few levels of Heroki, but the other two drew me in more. I found the controls a bit tricky, but again, I haven't played it a ton. May just take some getting used to. My Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i. is en route \o/ Gonna try it out with Heroki and Pip first, if they both have controller support. Really looking forward to using it.
