Now is a good time for me to consider making space on my device to play 1 & 2. Never played them, I purchased them a while back.
They better add something new... Like you can explore the world like horn instead of tapping where to go.
They can do that, but do you really want a clunky control scheme in a game with forced camera angles? Very few games make that feel natural.
Dungeons wasn't released and there was nothing said about it being FTP. IB3 will be premium. I'm that sure. Now where's EP reply?
I doubt they will. They made a ridiculous amount of money with IB I and II without forced IAP. People will still buy gold packs even if they're not really necessary. I think it will be fine. I am curious as to what they will add though. As of now, I have no idea what they could add to the formula. Also, @Gov, PLAY THEM. Seriously, they are some of the best made-for-iOS games on the appstore. Ever since IB I was released, I've always had I or II on my iPad at all times. Both are well worth your time.
It was confirmed to be F2P. There was to be heavy emphasis on that crafting mechanic. IB3 likely F2P: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Epic-Games-Leader-Believes-Freemium-Is-Gaming-s-Future-278031.shtml And Dungeons being F2P: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2667853&postcount=610 Not happening on current gen devices. Maybe in a year or two.
Hold up dont get to excited, what if "IB3" was really IB Dungeons?? I don't want to get to happy and then it was just a mistake.
IB3 is definitely coming, sooner or later. I guess they will officially announce it at the iPhone 5s presentation.
The first game I bought on my iPhone was IB 2.And I still remember saving 7$ for Dungeons although it never came out. In my opinion its one of the best iOS game that I have seen.Really this news made my day. I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread from now on.
iOS already barely manages Unreal Engine 3. A lot of shaders and other effects (like dynamic lights and tessellation) aren't present, as they're simply too hard on even the A6 APU. It can be, but it won't. The original builds of the game supported free movement, but in the end it was faster (and more efficient) to tap where you wanted to go. See previous response. No, it wouldn't.
@Triscuitable Well if it can't be free roam. Then they should add a ton of extra paths to choose and some sort of online instead of Facebook.
