Hi there! Dodging balls between Pixel Boat Rush and the Android version of Don't Run With a Plasma Sword, we had a bit of time to fill-up. We rushed into the gap with a fast deployment arcade game, Platforms Unlimited. The game is a procedural, minimalistic, zen, damn-hard one-button endless platformer. The game will be paid without IAP at launch. The closest game I could think of is The Impossible Game (or Geometry Dash) and I wonder if this one is as difficult. However, while TIG is level based and relies on memory, PU is endless and relies on a quick analysis of configurations. The procedural approach bring almost limitless level variations so no game is ever the same. Beta registration is now closed. Many thanks to everyone helping out!!
Looks really hard. Like super meat boy i think. I rage so hard on this kind of games, but still play them Do you have a gameplay video of a human playing the game?
Why do I have the sudden urge to drop by the mall and have poor unsuspecting passer-by play the game while I film them?
No, i meant that the game seems hard, and the first fail was more than a minute later . Wich in this case is almost an eternity.
Yeah I probably have a slight advantage here but it still took me a lot of shots to record that lol. And yes I did lose my nerves a couple times. Especially the time I had a good take and realized I was not recording.
Soupadilapidou! Tomorrow I shall prepare a new build with the UDID of the new applicants. Need to pass out now .
Looks nice Cool feature I just thought of while checking this out. You could do a split screen on the iPad. 2 players facing toward each other on the iPad and the iPad vertical. It could be endless to see who could last the longest.
And both would be touching their side of the screen to jump? A 2 of 3 or 3 of 5 match perhaps. Definitely worth a thought!
Looks fantastic XperimentalZ! I am confident this will be a great game from what i have experienced with DRWAPS, so i wont apply for beta anymore, but be assured this is a day-one buy.
Thanks I really appreciated it!! A first beta build is now available for the cohort who registered so far! Among the usual suspects (bug reports, impressions on visuals/ambiance/gameplay), one of the main things that we'll have to discuss is if it would be necessary to implement an objectives system and an upgrades system (power-ups unlocks etc). Looking forward your feedback!
Emailed you some impressions, suggestions, and feedback. Awesome game! As for power-ups/upgrades, I think power ups would be cool but upgrades would be unnecessary.
Sure! We should be able to activate it soon in one of the next beta builds (at least the leaderboard, achievements will come a bit later).
Awesome feedback! About power-ups/upgrades, we'll gather more feedback before 'officially' moving on with a decision, but in any case we'll post the full list here first for further comments. About the the fall through platform bug, to the best of my knowledge this only happens when the game lags a bit. Hopefully we'll manage to make more optimizations to keep this under control, but that's something that has to be monitored closely.
