This is one I'm watching on Appshopper awaiting either some decent reviews or a price drop. I thinks it's the naive looking art style that has made me hesitate to buy. Has anybody tried this ? Would love some impressions !

This looks like a very promising RPG style game... Here's some videos I found on the developer's site, fallofangelsgame.com.

Interest piqued ! Strong signs of varied objectives with puzzles etc also brief glimpses of the writing don't appear too bad either.

With all tonights releases though this will have to stay on the back burner till further details / play time etc appear.

Thanks for post the vids tho mate !

Early impressions are that this is a really polished RPG with fun battle mechanics and environmental puzzles. One of the better RPGs I've played on iOS lately (and iOS native too). Recommended.

Controls:Options for either floating virtual joystick or touch screen combined with one button that lights up when interactive objects are near for world exploration. Some environments can be selected for zoomed in adventure/puzzle exploration.

Enemy Encounters: Visible enemies are on screen in hostile locations to be avoided if desired, when you collide with a foe there is a cool cracked screen effect. This is similar to Crimson Gem Saga only with more variety in enemy graphics.

Early impressions Pros/Cons:
+ Multiple character party system.
+ Fluid RPG style battle dynamics - Attack/Skill/Item/Action options, tap one of three charters to open menu then select command and double tap enemy if just triple tap character for simple attack on random enemy. Combat is not turned based but relies on a status bar loading delay system that depends on user timed attack.
+ Cinematic plot - fallen meteor lands and 2 enemy fractions have interest so peacekeeping force is brought in; your party navigates that opening climate.
+ Sound track and effects are good.
+ Polished details - menu based story notes keep track of plot for you, when memory is low a popup window suggests you close apps and/or save (I am on a 3G). It allows you an alternate to sound based riddles by setting a no sound text option. I can't think of many games that seem this user considerate.
+ Day/night cycle environmental graphics.
- Graphics are wooden at times evidenced by gameplay videos; this is not my preference but I can appreciate the attempt at realism.
- Playable characters lack backstory/personality (so far).
- Sometimes it's unclear where to proceed next sometimes you have to explore a screen area to find items to interact with or area exits tucked away on the horizon.
- Some of the plot is cliche.

It's got a indie feel to it but this is am amazing game; the more I play it the more I like it. Can't recommend it enough to JRPG fans and a deal at $3. Bump to this getting more attention.
