I'm not looking forward to this, really. I hoped for a new SF on iOS or a content update for Volt. I am really disappointed. Also, depending on what's in there, who knows if it'll run fine on an iPod Touch 4th gen? Sorta worried about that. Plus, no Yun/Yang. :|
This tech demo run on Ipad3 I think and the framerate is not good imho, so if capcom release this game, the minimum requirements will be certanly an iphone 4s or Ipad 2!
The iPhone 4 gpu is kind of weak which is why I'd hope for a5 and up. If that is the iPad 3 in the video it's already slightly choppy, maybe due to lack of optimization. If they were to support anything less than the iPhone 4s that means they'll have to start cutting out things graphically and performance wise.
Sad but true. I'd love to be able to play this on my iPod Touch 4, but that seems powerfully unlikely to happen without the results being substandard or major bloat from including separate code bases. Still, I can dream, until I'm able to upgrade.
yes is weak but have better perfomance than ipod touch 4g.nova 3 run much better on iphone4 graph are verygood. ipad 3 is same as ipad 2.not much difference. my samsung galaxy s3 kick ass ipad 3.xD
Impossible, Capcom has to many users who play volt on-line, so it's better to concentrate on a new title. Sfxtekken is good.
Exactly, no point in stealing your own customers. Better to capture those who aren't playing your games already. Which is why I hope they make this as close to console experience as possible. If they do, this game can easily be worth 10 bucks in comparison to other versions.
As long as Capcom don't run the game at the full iPad 3 resolution, then more of the Quad Core GPU can be used on performance. Bottom line, run an iPad 2 and iPad 3 at the same resolution, there is far more juice left in the iPad 3 to run effects, etc. Unfortunately when the likes of Gameloft made NOVA 3 run at full resolution on the iPad 3, sacrificing effects (a long standing PC trade off may I add; resolution vs effects), it gave iPad 2 owners some misguided ammunition to fire at iPad 3 owners. Run SF X Tekken at a resolution higher than iPad 2 but below full resolution of iPad 3, and use what parts of the Quad Core GPU that's not pushing the resolution to focus on performance. Simples.
It's not about stealing your own customers, it's about making more money. When I play Volt, Capcom does not get anymore money. But a newer version of SFIV means lots of people, including myself, paying for the new game. A new version of SF also means taking back some of your prior customers who made the jump to the new KOF. I mean, by this logic, there was never a need to come out with new versions of SF.
Knowing capcom and their love for super low res games, I wouldn't worry about this game being iPad 3 retina.
So from the sound of it, even if I wanted to play this game (which I'll definitely try it out) it won't run on my 3GS. And so....the planned obsolescence has begun......
Yup, though I think I may end up upgrading by the end of the year. I... Uh... What? The cacophony of Engrish is just... Wow.
